The property lies in close proximity to several upper Peninsula scenic, camping, and recreation sites: Tahquamenon Falls State Park, twenty miles south, the Two Hearted River State Forest Campground, two miles west, Culhane Lake State camping site, two miles south, and the Crisp Point Lighthouse Historical Site nine miles east. One-half mile east along the Lake Superior shore is the DNR Little Lake Harbor of Refuge with pier and channel entry access to a DNR mooring dock and boat launch ramp on the lake's east side.
